The first step is to gather all the essential information from the client, including their business name, logo, contact details, and branding guidelines. This helps me to understand the client's vision and align the design with their brand. After gathering all my information I started researching the industry, competition, and target audience to get a better idea of the brand's positioning and unique selling points. Then, I brainstorm various design concepts, figure out size and substrate of the card and experiment with different color schemes, typography, and graphics. Once I have a few solid design concepts, I start sketching them out on paper to visualize how they will look on a business card. This allows me to explore different layouts, proportions, and visual hierarchies. After selecting the most fitting design concepts, I move on to designing them digitally using Adobe Illustrator. This allows me to refine the design, experimenting with different typography, color, and fonts. Once the design was ready, I shared it with the client to review through mockups and gain feedback. I make revisions based on their feedback until we arrive at a final design that meets their needs and aligns with their vision.
